Contract period : 1 Year Work Location : 3033 W. President George Bush Hwy, Ste. 250, Plano, TX 75075 Key Responsibilities: • Maintain and update contract template versions and assist in deploying changes to templates across the enterprise platforms. • Proofread and prepare for contract execution copies, and assist with ongoing management of company’s contracts management system. • Provide hands-on support for litigation and other dispute resolutions. • Update and maintain corporate minute books, draft corporate board minutes and intercompany agreements, handle other corporate governance matters with other global SDS affiliates. • Establish and maintain integrity of electronic and paper contract files ensuring executed documents are filed correctly and organized logically. • Digest and summarize legal and business documents. Qualifications & Skills: • College Degree or equivalent work experience. • Minimum 3 years of experience in a paralegal or equivalent position (Paralegal certification from the State of Texas preferred). • Demonstrate experience reviewing, drafting and negotiating the legal terms of a broad range of standard commercial contracts. • Good understanding of the litigation life cycle, legal documents and procedural requirements; and knowledge of state and federal court rules. • Great attention to detail, strong verbal and written communication skills, organization, cross-group collaboration, and project management skills. • Confidence and ability to quickly identify, analyze and develop practical solutions to difficult problems and challenges. • Ability to conduct Internet-based research, work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.) are essential. • Industry knowledge in logistics and supply chains is a plus. Physical Demands: • The position requires the ability to talk and hear while performing the duties of this job. • The position requires the ability to stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms. • The position requires dexterity to write and use computer keyboard and mouse. • The position requires multitasking and solving complex issues, occasionally in a fast-paced environment. • This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products, materials and supplies, up to 20 pounds.
